Finally, Marathon Houston: done! And it was a rough one: wind, rain and freaking cold: not your typical Houston weather. My first all plant-based marathon, no cheating this time. And it felt great (for as far as a marathon can actually feel great that is). Often people ask me if i get in enough proteins by eating plants, or explain to me that i really should eat animal proteins when running so much. I disagree, but you do have to choose your “plants” wisely. And yes, sometimes in training i’ll take an extra hemp protein shake.
Long story short: plant based marathon was a success!
I had as much (or maybe even more) energy as when i was eating meat and dairy. Try it!!
